SETTESOLI GROWER

Settesoli has always paid careful attention to the social, environmental and cultural development of its local area.

Commitment to the environment encompasses the entire life cycle of the wine: from grape growing to distribution.

  • Among the first wineries to set up solar panels: 1,500 panels cover 45,000 square feet and have increased production by 98% since 2008.
  • 100% of waste and cardboard and 60% of glass is recycled.
  • Water saving technology and micro-irrigation is utilized for water conservation.

Settesoli cares for the local economy and families.

  • 70% of the families in the territory are involved with the winery’s business.
  • 100% of the workers are locals during the harvest season.
  • INTERNSHIP programs are available to help create jobs for future generations.

Settesoli currently has a fund raising program to preserve the Greco-Roman archaeological site in the city of Selinunte, the largest archeological site in Europe. This also attracts tourism, further increasing awareness of the area and growth of the local economy.
